Exclusive villa in Duderstadt

Located at the highest point of the site, the house receives its residents and visitors with a special gesture. It is not an ostentatious or prestigious address, but more a sophisticated angular structure that creates tension and unfolds in all directions to the garden and open landscape. On the inside and outside, the cubic architecture features high, open spaces. Overhanging structures form covered outside areas, framed by generously dimensioned terraces. Reinforced by the transparency and openness of the architecture, nature is drawn into the inside, making the seasons a true experience.

The house is not intrusive in size; its generous dimensions only become perceptible when one moves through the spacious salons. Smooth transitions bring about a continuum that embraces the exquisite lounges, the fireside nook, combined kitchen/living room, media room and well-defined outside areas. Load-bearing wall panels provide adequate space for art. A guest tract is connected to the living area. The self-contained apartment and various function rooms are likewise discreetly located on the ground floor. An additional space on the residential floor with a free overhang lends a sculptural form to the building. The elongated spatial structure integrates relaxation areas and a private office.

With horizontally layered natural stone and alternation between wood and glass, the precisely structured façades exhibit timeless modernity. The courtyard and terraces are a projection of the elegant living space to the outside. The exclusively designed garden with pool perpetuates the contemporary architecture to the outside. A carport and underground garage further accentuate the comfort of the house.
